Jacky Wilson and Sarah Slocombe have worked as freelance fundraising professionals for over twenty years, following extensive careers in charity fundraising. We have many years of fundraising experience between us, working for charities in the education, health, heritage and international development sectors.
We offer a wide range of experience and work with our clients in a variety of ways: providing expert consultancy advice, taking responsibility for raising funds, and even, in some cases, working within a client’s fundraising department. We have worked successfully on a number of capital appeals for a wide range of causes.
We have extensive contacts and our experience means that the time we spend for you is highly productive – we know where to look for funds, who to talk to and how to structure bids and applications. We know the rules but, to be honest, we spend a lot of time breaking them and we pride ourselves on finding innovative solutions for funding and sponsorship.
It is hard to exaggerate the value of the help Jacky and Sarah gave us in getting Project Hougoumont off the ground. They focussed our efforts where they were most likely to be productive, they guided us at every turn and took trouble with everyone who was – or might be – helpful to us. They introduced us to potential donors, consolidated our relationship with those who had given and steadied our nerves when necessary. Above all, they gave us the confidence that comes from knowing that you are being guided by a highly experienced professional team. They are light of touch, always reachable and great fun to work with.
